  Vashti Bunyan 07 Nov 2005
Makes her musical comeback after 35 years

Vashti Bunyan is an understated singer songwriter with a cult following. In 1968 she set off on a horse and cart to join a Utopian artists' community on the Isle of Skye , but it took her nearly two years to get there and by the time she arrived, the community had packed up and left.

But the journey inspired her to write an album which was released without fanfare. Disheartened, Vashti left the music business to raise three children in Scotland and Ireland, but, unbeknown to Vashti, her reputation was growing steadily.

She was surprised to discover, in the late 1990s, that she had a huge following, and this prompted her to make another album, her first in 35 years.

Vashiti's new album, Lookaftering, is available on the Fat Cat label, catalogue no. FATCD38
