  Finishing School 12 May 2005
What have these institutions got to offer a new generation of young women?

Learning how to get out of a car with your legs together, and preparing the perfect soufflé – both skills which ladies of a certain background would have expected to learn in the finishing schools of yesteryear.

Now a pilot finishing academy has just been launched in Cheshire, whilst a new ITV series called Ladette to Lady shows today's young women experiencing tuition in etiquette and deportment .

Jean Broke-Smith was head of the Lucie Clayton School for thirty years, and she'll be joining Jenni to explore the reasons for this resurgence of interest.

Ladette to Lady  in on ITV on 01 June
