29 March 2005
Listen to this item
Elaine Pantling used the diaries of her mother-in-law as a springboard for her comic one-woman show
After Elaine's mother-in-law, Marjorie, died of ovarian cancer, her diary was discovered on her bedside table.
The writing was full of witty prose and observation.
Jenni is joined by the writer of
The Lemon Princess
Rachael McGill and Elaine to discuss how she has turned personal tragedy into comedy.
