Maire Ni Chathasaigh 3 February 2005
Harpist who reinvented her instrument

She's been described in the press as virtuosic, fascinating, dramatic, original and gloriously adventurous.

It's also been said that she reinvented the harp in Ireland with her vigorous interpretation of traditional dance music.

Maire Ni Chathasaigh joins Jenni in the studio with her collaborator, guitarist Chris Newman.

Maire Ni Chathasaigh's tour starts on 4 February in Kettlestone near Fakenham, and takes in dates in Solihull, Macclesfield, London and Abergavenny
