The forgotten plague of Asia and Africa

Next week, BBC 2 broadcasts a documentary about malaria, which will shed light on why control of the disease is failing, as well as the personal experiences of African villagers, and scientific efforts to defeat 'the forgotten plague'.

Rachel Rori is a nurse, who comes from the same malaria stricken area of Kenya in which the film takes place, and acted as a translator and advisor on the film.

She talks to Martha about her own experiences of malaria, as well as her hopes for improving the situation in her home country and elsewhere.
