Kate Bosworth as Sandra Dee in Beyond the Sea
on her role as Sandra Dee in Beyond the Sea

At just 21 Kate Bosworth is being tipped for an Oscar nomination for her portrayal Sandra Dee in Kevin Spacey's new film Beyond the Sea.

The film tells the story of the life of 50s teen idol, Bobby Darin and his teenage movie star wife, Sandra Dee -  the Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston of their day. Fame and ambition helped bring about their downfall, and for Sandra Dee the broken marriage brought alcohol addiction and depression.

Jenni ask Kate how it feels to be nominated for an Oscar and about her equestrian talents which could have take her to the Olympics it it hadn't been for the filmThe Horse Whisperer.

Beyond The Sea is cinemas from Friday 26 November
