  The senses 3: Sound 11 August 2004
Do we all hear the same sounds?

We all rely on our senses in some way, but for Manaz Saffar her sense of hearing is central to her job. She's a noise pollution officer and relies on her sense of hearing to decide what is nuisance noise and what's not - and it's not just party music. Manaz has to monitor noises that bother people during the day as well

Rachel Ellison went out onto the streets of Kensington & Chelsea with Manaz to find out how she sorts noise from sound.
