The Stress Professor 10 July 2004
Can we conquer stress and take control of our lives?

Stress seems to be a normal part of our everyday lives these days. Having a successful career, bringing up children, trying to be all things to all people  can send our stress levels soaring and this, scientists now recognise, can make people ill.

Professor Angela Clow is Professor of Psychophysiology at the University of Westminster in London, but she's also known as the Stress Professor'- a role which she takes on with great gusto in the new BBC TV series The Stress Test. The series offers advice to six different people who are each plagued by stress, but for very different reasons.

Karen McIntyre, next week's guest, talks about her stress levels, and as a mother of five who has not just one job but two, her life is likely involve a high degree of tension.

Stress Professor, Angela Clow talks to Martha about Karen's life and what she can do to improve the situation.
