  Cycling 30 June 2004
Can you cycle and be stylish?

The capital is awash this morning with people cycling to work in order to beat the tube strike.

Nationally the figures show only 13 per cent of people cycle once a week. Could it be the amount of traffic putting us off or is it that it's impossible to look gorgeous in a sweaty anorak with helmet hair?

Perhaps it isn't difficult to cycle and be fashionable, as long as your idea of fashion isn't too exacting? Or perhaps it depends what sex you are? Jenni talks to writer Deborah Moggach and Channel Four broadcaster John Snow who are both devoted to their cycles.
