  1000 Women 12 June 2004
The campaign to nominate a thousand women for next year's Nobel Prize

Only eleven women have won the Nobel Peace Prize since it was founded in 1901. So a campaign's been launched in Switzerland for one more woman to be nominated - in fact a thousand women.

It's all the idea of Ruth Gaby Vermot who is a member of the Swiss parliament and Council of Europe and her daughter Rebecca who is managing the project.
