The world of beauty contests is the focus of the exhibition, Smiles, Swimsuits and Sabotage  which opens this week at The Women's Library in London. 

Woman's Hour looks at how such competitions grew from post-war British seaside resorts to the global glamour of Miss World and asks whether beauty contests have any relevance now?
