  Hats Thursday 12 June 2003
Hats
The late Gertrude Shilling's name is synonymous with ladies day at Ascot. She charmed the race-day crowds and the cameras with her son David's eccentric creations.

Now an exhibition is displaying her hats in all their extravagant glory.
Joanna Marshner, curator of an exhibition of Royal hats, and Felicity Everett, the woman behind national chain Felicity's Hat Hire, join Jenni to discuss how to send out the right message with your millinery.
'Hats and Handbags' exhibition runs at Kensington Palace until 18 April 2004.
