  Women Rally Drivers Wednesday 5 February 2003  
Have you ever had an irate driver wind down their window and yell- "who do you think you are? Stirling Moss's sister?" Just imagine the surprise when the reply is yes!

Pat Carlson (nee Moss) is one of the greatest women rally drivers in British history. She competed throughout the 1950's and 60's, and was the European champion in 1959. The following year she won the Liege-Rome-Liege rally which had never before been won by a British driver.
Pat's co-driver was Ann Wisdom (whose nickname was Whizz). The pair teamed up when they were 18 and Ann hadn't even passed her driving test when she started to navigate.
Philippa Budgen went to meet them and went for a spin in their favourite red Austin Healey...
