Savina Yanatou Monday 13 January 2003
Greek Masks
Savina Yanatou is one of the great divas of Greek song.

During her career she has explored a remarkable variety of musical styles. In addition to her mastery of the older formal repertoire, she has also had experience in avant-garde jazz.
And it was her love of vocal improvisation that led her to experimenting with everything from the Jewish music of the Balkans to traditional songs from across the world.
Savina joins Jenni while she's here in London to launch the Greece in Britain 2003 festival.
