Emmanuelle Haim Friday 3 January 2003
When Emmanuelle Haim made her debut with Glyndebourne Touring Opera just over a year ago, a murmur of surprise went up as she took her place in the pit.

Conducting from the harpsichord, her performance was described by critics as a 'revelation.'
Emmanuelle Haim joins Martha to talk about her love and fascination for 17th century music and about how she deals with the audience's reaction.
Emmanuelle Haim is performing at the Barbican on 12th and 14th January 2003. Box office: 0207 628 2326
