Janet Gleeson Friday 5 April 2002
Novelist Janet Gleeson joins Martha Kearney to discuss her latest work, The Grenadillo Box.

Gleeson was born in Sri Lanka and has a degree in both Art History and English. But its her early career at Sotheby's and Bonham's Auctioneers and former art and antiques correspondent for House and Garden, that fuelled the imagination of her story lines.
The Grenadillo Box's hero, Nathaniel Hopson, worked as a journeyman cabinet maker for Thomas Chippendale. Gleeson casts him as an early detective and spins a fascinating murder mystery around his trade and friends.
The Grenadillo Box is published by Bantam Press ISBN 059 304 8032
