  FANYs 6 Friday 1 March 2002
Continuing our series which looks at the lives of some of the women who joined the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry during WW2 - the FANYs. The all-female corps created in 1907 were used primarily as a first aid link between fighting units and field hospitals, but during WW2 many FANYS went on to work in the SOE, the Special Operations Executive.

Many of the extraordinary women who joined the FANYs have never before had the chance to tell the unique stories of their service in WW2. We continue today with Juanita Carberry. Martyn Cox went to meet her.
