Footballers' wives Thursday 3 January 2002
As a brand new drama on the glamorous world of football prepares to hit our TV screens, Woman's Hour takes a look at the downside of being a footballer's wife.

Does having everything that money and fame can buy make up for being married to a man whose career could end any minute, and who is surrounded by adoring female fans wherever he goes?
Jenni is joined by Lee Anne Baker, wife of Wimbledon midfielder Andy Roberts, and Liz Lake, writer and producer.
Footballers' Wives starts on Tuesday 8 January, ITV1, 9pm
