The Pill in Japan Thursday 18 October 2001
The pill is celebrating its 50th birthday this week. Its creators attended a conference in Japan to launch it.

Anna McNamee reports on why its taken the Japanese so long to legalise the pill and whether Japanese women have come to embrace it.
