Atkins Diet Friday 15 August 2003
The favoured weight loss plan of A list celebs has been lambasted in the press this week as dangerous pseudoscience.

The day after the Atkins Diet was pulled apart by nutritionists, it's fought back via the best seller lists - Dr. Atkins's Diet Revolution has even knocked the latest Harry Potter off the top spot.
So what is it about this high fat, low carbohydrate diet that appeals? And do we really have cause to worry about the most popular diet plan ever created?
Sarah Stanner, Nutrition Scientist from the British Nutrition Foundation, Jane Odgen, Health Psychologist, Kings College London and Jenni Ayris, an Atkins Dieter, join Martha to discuss these criticisms.
