Sarah Outen 4th August 2009
Sarah Outen
The ocean rower on her record-breaking Indian Ocean voyage

Sarah Outen has succeeded in rowing solo across the Indian Ocean, arriving in Mauritius on 3rd August having been alone at sea for 125 days. Sarah is now the first woman, and youngest and fastest person, to make the crossing. She is also the first to complete her route. We last caught up with Sarah mid-Indian Ocean when she was half-way through her epic row via satellite phone. Sarah joins Jenni from Mauritius to describe her experiences of being alone at sea, how she achieved her amazing record and what it felt like to see land ahoy for the first time since April.
