Women in Afghanistan 17 August 2009
Jane Corbin in Afghanistan
Reporter Jane Corbin returns to assess the current situation

Jane Corbin has recently come back from another trip to Afghanistan, where she heard the stories of the women living there. She examined whether their situation has improved since the fall of the Taliban, and met women who are putting their lives at risk in order to create an equal society. Jane Corbin talks to Jane about what she discovered.

Jane Corbin's trip is featured in this evening's Panorama: 'What Are We Fighting For?', on BBC One at 8.30 p.m.
