Women of the Qur'an 4th August 2009
Zulekha

Among the many female figures portrayed in Qur'anic sacred history, Zulekha, the wife of Aziz, stands out in its complexity. In her story, the themes of female desire and cunning are woven together with those of love, repentance, honesty and fidelity. Angela Robson speaks to Dr Shuruq Naguib and Barbara Stowasser, Professor of Arabic Studies at the University of Georgetown.
