Maria Friedman and Daniel Dae Kim in The King and I
Starring in The King and I

For only the second time in its history the Royal Albert Hall is putting on a fully staged musical. Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I takes the audience inside the grandeur of Siam’s royal court. Starring opposite Daniel Dae Kim (of Lost fame), Maria Friedman plays Anna, the British governess brought in to tutor the King’s children. The star of numerous West End musicals, Maria has won three Olivier awards and worked with some of the world’s most gifted composers and lyricists. She joins Jenni to talk about how she has refashioned her career in recent years, and what it is that still drives her forward.

'The King and I' is at the Royal Albert Hall in London from 12th - 28th June
