Stranger in the House - Your Responses 4th September 2008
On Woman's Hour on 28th August Jenni spoke to Julie Summers and her mother Gillian. Julie has written a book about the difficult relationships that children and wives often had with men who returned damaged from the second world war. She’d been inspired by her mother’s problems with her own father who’d been a prisoner of the Japanese and as a consequence, wrote "Strange in the House." Lots of you got in touch, including Carole Bullock, Margaret Cook and Alison Leighton.
