The damage that living with a paedophile inflicts on a family
Roger Took was a respected art historian, curator and author. No-one including his wife Pat of 25 years imagined he was leading a double life until two policemen came to their house last year to inform her he’d been arrested for possessing child pornography on his laptop. That led police to uncover a trail of abuse involving Pat’s grandchildren, his stepgrandchildren - and hundreds of extremely disturbing photos and webchats. There was virtually no press coverage of the case. Pat joins Jenni to talk about the damage he’s inflicted on her family, and whether his so called “respectability” as an academic has protected him from the glare of the media.
