Writing the Century Update 06 May 2008
The untold story of the twentieth century

The Woman’s Hour drama this week is the third part of our series “Writing the Century” which explores the 20th century through real correspondence. After the last series was broadcast, writer Vanessa Rosenthal was contacted by Douglas Reece, who is the grandson of Ada Reece, the South Kensington housewife whose diaries featured heavily in the first two series. They both join Jenni for an update on the project so far.
