Co-Housing: Living With Your Mates in Retirement. 24 Jan 2008
Women on a bench
Is it a viable option for spending out your twilight years?

Instead of old age in a care home, why not club together with friends, buy a big house and live there together in your dotage? Pie in the sky? Or a viable alternative to an old age in a wing backed chair watching Countdown?
Living as a mutually supportive group combining self-contained accommodation with common space is known as Co-Housing and it's becoming increasingly popular.   Jenni is joined byJane Oulton who together with several friends founded The Lifetime Community Project with the aim of developing a co-housing retirement community and Maria Brenton, Consultant to The Older Women’s Co-Housing project (OWCH) based in London.
