The Conservatives call for a tightening of rape law

Rapists in Britain ‘think they can get away with it’ according to Conservative leader David Cameron. In a speech to members of the Conservative Women’s Organisation he claimed that Britain has the worst rape conviction rate in Europe - fewer than six per cent of cases reported to the police result in a conviction.
