Forgotten women gardeners - Jane Loudon 20 Jul 2007
Victorian botanical writer and magazine editor

Jane Loudon was a successful Victorian botany writer and magazine editor. But her reputation is somewhat overshadowed in the annals of gardening history by her more famous husband John, the well respected landscape gardener and writer. To make amends, Woman's Hour sent reporter Merilyn Harris along with gardening historian Twigs Way, to visit the couple’s former home in London to find out more about her.
