Eva Figes Monday 3 March 2003
When her second grandchild was born, Feminist writer Eva Figes was moved to think about when she was a child in Berlin and her own grandparents. They had died in a concentration camp in Poland, after the rest of the family had escaped from Germany to England.

Out of this came her new book, Tales of Innocence and Experience, an exploration of the relationship between a grandmother and her granddaughter as a second baby is about to be born.
Eva Figes joins Jenni to talk about her novel.
Tales of Innocence and Experience - An Exploration', by Eva Figes, Published by Bloomsbury 3 March 2003, ISBN 0 7475 6024 2
