The New PAs
The term ‘virtual assistant’ is likely to draw some blank looks. But with unemployment high, self employment is becoming a reality for more and more people. A rising number of professionals are now working from home as remote office assistants and PAs. Many have never met the people they work for. They have clients rather than employers and demand for their services is increasing. We visit Emma Walker at home to uncover the life of a Virtual Assistant. To discuss this emerging industry Jane is joined by Justine Curtis of the UK Association of Virtual Assistants and Dr Brendan Burchell, a sociologist from Cambridge University. |
