Ryan McLaughlin is just 14 and his mother Kirsten has multiple sclerosis. A link has been suggested between the disease and Vitamin D deficiency. Ryan took up the cause, calling on the Scottish government to raise awareness on the issue. Now, because of Ryan’s efforts, all pregnant women in the country are to be told about the importance of taking vitamin D supplements.
