Aids Adoption 26 Jun 2009
The adoptive family fighting prejudice and fear

Adopting any child can be challenging, but how do you cope when you decide to take on a black South African baby who is HIV positive? Natalie and Ian Westwell decided to adopt a baby they met in an AIDS orphanage and bring her back to England. It meant battling the authorities both here and in South Africa, but once home it was obvious their fight was only just beginning. Natalie Westwell joins Jenni to talk about the prejudice they have had to overcome to gain acceptance for their new daughter.
