Pakistan's Child Terrorists 12 Mar 2009
Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy
A worrying development?

With the recent attack in Lahore on the Sri Lankan cricket team, last year’s suicide bombing in Islamabad and the assault on Mumbai, Pakistan’s radical Islamists are bringing violence to the major cities of Pakistan and beyond.  For her latest documentary, the journalist Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy has been investigating how the war on terror is creating a generation of child terrorists – children prepared to kill both inside and outside Pakistan. She talks to Jenni about the children she met as well as a Taliban commander responsible for child recruitment.

Dispatches - Pakistan's Taliban Generation is broadcast on Channel 4 at 8pm on 16th March.
