Friday Panel 20 June 2008
A round up of lively comment on the week's events

The death of the first British servicewoman in Afghanistan has highlighted the enhanced role of women in the armed forces but has that been undermined by the media response to her death? Nurses are to be scored on how compassionate they are towards patients as part of a government plan to improve quality in the NHS, but can a smile really make a difference? And how hard is it to get boys to enjoy reading? We take a look at the new list of recommended books aimed specifically at boys.  Horrid Henry writer, Francesca Simon, TV presenter, Claudia Winkleman, and journalist Yasmin Alibhai-Brown join Jane to discuss.
