Loss of Intimacy 09 Nov 2007
The impact of losing an intimate relationship with a partner.

One of the callers to our recent phone-in spoke about the impact of losing the intimate relationship with her husband: he moved out of the bedroom when she had a double mastectomy and, five and a half years on, he hasn’t moved back in. Jane is joined by Denise Knowles of Relate, and Penny Mansfield, Director of One Plus One to discuss how couples lose intimacy, what is going on emotionally, both for the rejected person and for the rejecter, and how the loss of intimacy can be countered.
