Charlton Women’s Football Team Under Threat 03 July 2007
Protecting the interests of the women’s football game.

Charlton Athletic Football Club’s successful women’s team is to be closed down. The decision is part of drastic cost-cutting measures being introduced following the men's club's relegation from the Premier League last season. But should the future of women’s football be tied to the fortunes of the men’s teams?
Miriam talks to Sue Tibballs, Chief Executive at the Women’s Sports Foundation and Rachel Pavlou, Head of Women’s Football at the FA about what the closure means for the women’s game.
