Women and Retreats 22 Feb 2007

Why do women go on retreat?
While some might throw themselves into a new hobby or sport, an increasing number of women are seeking an antidote to the stresses of modern life by going on retreat. Activities can range from yoga and meditation, to prayer, silence or even drumming. But what benefit do we get from such retreats and how much spirituality is involved?

Dawn Charles, Director of the Women’s Retreat and Liz Palin, deputy warden of Holland House, a retreat, conference and laity centre, join Jenni in the studio.
