Are you hooked on the exploits of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte as they negotiate the New York dating jungle? If so, you'll be only too aware that the final series of Sex And The City has just begun.

Angela McRobbie, Professor of Communications at Goldsmiths College, London and Kim Akass, Lecturer in Film Studies at London Metropolitan University join Jenni to discuss whether the series empowers women or simply reinforces old stereotypes.
Sex and the City is on Channel 4, Fridays at 10pm. Reading Sex And The City, edited by Kim Akass and Janet McCabe is published by I.B Tauris, ISBN 1 85043 423 9 on 5 February
