Fryderyk Chopin 5 Jan 2010
The 200th anniversary of the birth of the composer

To celebrate his bicentenary The Chopin Society is arranging a year of concerts and talks under the title In the 'Footsteps of Chopin'. In 1848, following a revolution in France, Chopin was persuaded to visit London where he spent time giving private and semi-public concerts as well as teaching. Jane is joined by Lady Rose Cholmondeley president of the Chopin Society for a live recital and a discussion about Chopin’s life and work and his visit to Britain.
