Are children the overlooked casualties of conflict?

With the war in Afghanistan daily in the news the public are becoming increasingly aware of the stress, trauma and injuries suffered by those serving in the armed forces. But how much is understood about what their children back at home go through? The Royal Navy and Royal Marine Children's Fund Royal Navy have published a new report which highlights the problems children face when a parent is deployed - from worrying about a parent being in a warzone to readjusting when they return, problems at school and emotional difficulties. Jenni is joined by Monique Bateman, director of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Children's Fund and Julie MCarthy, Chief Executive of the Army Families Federation to ask if children have become the overlooked casualties of conflict.
