Nicola Benedetti
From Young Musican of the Year to violin virtuoso

Nicola Benedetti took up the violin aged four and by the time she was ten she had left her West Kilbride home to study at the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin school in Surrey and then went on to the Royal College of Music. She won the Young Musician of the Year in 2004 and since then has been in demand as a performer around the world accompanying top orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic. She played for the Queen at the inaugural opening of the Scottish parliament and recently headlined  the BBC Proms in the Park in Glasgow. Her fourth album 'Fantasie' has just topped the classical charts. She and her Stradivarius join Jenni in the studio for a live recital.

Nicola Benedetti new album 'Fantasie' is out now on Decca / Universal
