Ex-female Tamil Tiger 22 May 2009
Has peace finally come to Sri Lanka? Jenni talks to a former female Tamil Tiger.

Niromi de Soyza (not her real name) is today a happily married mother living in a leafy suburb of Sydney but twenty years ago, at just seventeen, she was a combat fighter for The Tamil Tigers. As Sri Lanka’s president acclaims an end to the country’s 26 years of civil war, she joins Jenni to tell her story alongside academic, Kanchana Ruwanpura with her view on the significance of women to the Tamil Tiger movement.
