Simone Dinnerstein and Fenella Barton 11 June 2008
Simone Dinnerstein and Fenella Barton
The violinist and pianist perform “A Celebration” together

It’s been a remarkable couple of years for the pianist Simone Dinnerstein and the violinist Fenella Barton. Simone took the music world by storm with her recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations, while Fenella had to cancel concerts after she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. She is now back performing and is even more passionate about playing the violin after her experience. Fenella and Simone, who have been working together for 20 years, explain why, despite their successful solo careers, their relationship remains so important for them both.
