The emotional impact of lost and shared residence orders on mothers and fathers.

Britney Spears has recently hit the UK newspapers for losing custody of her children. Whether it is as a result of being deemed unfit for motherhood or marriage breakdown, more and more mothers in the UK are losing sole residence, formerly known as custody, of their children. So what are the mother's feelings that surround this experience and to what extent are they any different to those endured by a father?
