Leadingwomen
Jacqueline Gold – the woman behind Ann Summers 18th April 2007
Jacqueline Gold
Thirty years ago Ann Summers had two shops and was in liquidation. Now it has 145 stores and an annual turnover of £155 million. The company’s dramatic growth is largely thanks to the efforts of its charismatic chief executive Jacqueline Gold, one of the UK’s most successful business women.
But although she has enjoyed success in her career, she has also experienced a series of personal traumas. Jacqueline Gold talks to Jenni Murray about her professional achievements and the challenges she has faced in her personal life.

'A Woman’s Courage'  by Jacqueline Gold is published by Ebury Press, ISBN: 978-0-09-191425-7.
