Pete Doherty's mother on her son's drug addiction. 31 Aug 2006
Jackie Doherty's son Pete has become notorious as one of the country's most high profile drug users. He was lead singer with the influential band, Libertines but left and formed another group, Babyshambles. His relationship with the model Kate Moss has been well publicised. Now his mother has written a book about her son's problems and how his drug use has devastated the family. She spoke to Jenni, along with Vivienne Evans from ADFAM, a national charity that supports and campaigns on behalf of families of substance users.  We also hear from Jason Creswell who kicked a twelve year heroin habit.

Pete Doherty My Prodigal Son: The Extraordinary Story of a Mother's Love by Jackie Doherty is published by Headline
