Award winning stand-up comedian Helen Keen brings humour to rocket science and Arctic survival.
Helen Keen started performing stand-up comedy in 2004 and within twelve months found herself in the final of the Funny Women competition. Her debut solo show, ‘It Is Rocket Science!’, which is all about the history and development of the space rocket, has been a great success at Edinburgh and later in the year, Helen’s going to turn it into a series for Radio 4. She joins Jenni to talk about space-Nazis, aeronautical engineers and why dodgy Sixties Czechoslovakian children's animation has had an influence on her comedy.
Helen Keen is performing at the Courthouse Arts Centre in Otley on the 30th January.
