Speech Debelle
Telling her story through rap

Speech Debelle has been nominated for the Mercury Music prize for her debut album ‘Speech Therapy’. The concept album imagines that she is in a therapy session, discussing the events of her life. She spent four years living in homeless hostels and has used her experiences from this time to produce an album full of personal reflection. She joins Jenni to explain how she developed her style of rap and she performs live.

'Speech Therapy' is out now and on the record label Big Dada. ASIN: B00288AXVS
